Last year I went for holidays to Japan. I loved it! I have had there best days of my life. When I came back, Japan was in my mind night and day. I fell in love with its culture, fashion and everything connected with the country. I started to read Japanese literature, preparing Japanese meals and getting more and more fascinated with Japanese movies. I know that it might sound a little weird but I couldn’t help it. If I just could, I would probably move to Japan. Unluckily, for different reasons, I just couldn’t. In consequence, I was trying to surround myself with as many Japanese objects as possible.
Most of my friends were aware of my Japanese passion. I have to admit they were very tolerant about this. They were often going out with me for sushi but there was hardly anything else they was able to do for me. At least I believed that. But then one day my friend told me about oriental wallpaper he noticed in a shop. At the beginning I didn’t know what oriental wallpaper means but I went with him to that shop to check it up. When I saw this I just knew it was perfect for me. That was simply great. What my friend showed me was a wallpaper with amazing patterns on it. Nonetheless, that was not some banal patterns (demural.co.uk/photo-wallpapers/oriental). For example, on the flowers wallpaper I have seen cherry blossom. I assume you know that cherry blossom is quite a symbol of Japan. In consequence, I am conviced that you can imagine how content I was when I saw it! Between many other wallpapers, I have picked also another oriental wallpaper, with Japanese food that I was missing so badly. I know this sounds unbelievable that I was lucky to find precisely what I was looking for. But trust me – modern wallpapers have nearly every pattern you could think of. And even if it doesn’t, you can design your own wallpaper which would have pattern you want! I not only bought 2 wallpapers I saw, but also ordered two more which I wanted to see in my apartment.
As a result of that, walls in my house enable me to feel like I live in Japan. It is so much better than just plain, uninteresting walls I used to have in my apartment before. Thus, if you are obsessed with something so badly as I was haunted by Japan, I would recommend to use wallpapers! It can help to fill your room with the atmosphere of the place you are longing for – Demur.
